Mullangi Curry Recipe (Recipe In Hindi)

Radish is also known as Mulangi in Tamil. It is a juicy vegetable which is full of nutrition. It has high fiber content and is also good for weight loss. You can make many types of vegetables from it but here we will make it in Tamil style.  मूली, हल्दी पाउडर, लाल मिर्च पाउडर, धनिया पाउडर, नमक, चना दाल, तिल का तेल, काली उरद दाल (स्प्लिट), जीरा, कढ़ी पत्ता   2 radishes, washed, peeled and cut 1/8 tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder Salt to taste 1 tsp chana dal 1 tbsp sesame oil 1 tsp black urad dal (split) 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 sprig curry leaves     15   25     To make Mulangi curry, first heat oil in a pan. Add the ingredients given for tempering one by one. After 15 seconds, add carrots and mix. After adding carrots, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt. Cook out for 1 minute then add 1/2 cup water. Cover the pan and let the radish cook until it becomes soft. Keep stirring occasionally. After cooking, open the pan and cook on high flame for 20 seconds. Serve hot. Serve Mulangi curry with mixed vegetable sambar and rice for lunch.
