Potato Sagu Recipe

Potato curry is made in different ways. Here we will make Aloo Sagu which is made in Karnataka and served in Darshini with Rava Idli, Set Dosa. You can also pack this Sagu in your lunch box.  आलू, प्याज, हरी मिर्च, अदरक, कढ़ी पत्ता, राइ, सफ़ेद उरद दाल, चना दाल, हींग, हल्दी पाउडर, धनिया पाउडर, हरा धनिया, शक्कर, निम्बू का रस, नमक, तेल   3 potatoes, boil and mash 1 onion, chop finely 2 green chillies, chop 1/2 inch ginger, grate 2 sprigs of curry leaves 1/2 tsp mustard 2 tsp white urad dal 1 tbsp chana dal 1/ 4 tsp asafoetida, a pinch 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp coriander powder 2 tbsp green coriander, chopped 1 tsp sugar 1/2-1 tbsp lemon juice Salt, as per taste Oil, as per use     20   35     To make Aloo Sagu recipe, first heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds in it and let it splutter. Now add chana dal, urad dal and cook till it turns brown. Now add curry leaves, asafoetida, green chilli, ginger and cook for 30 seconds. Now add onion, turmeric powder, salt and cook till onion becomes soft. Now add mashed potatoes, asafoetida, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt, sugar and mix. Add 1 cup water and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Garnish with green coriander and serve. Serve Aloo Sagu Recipe with Vegetable Rava Idli and filter coffee for breakfast.
