Turai Moong Dal Recipe – Turai Moong Dal (Recipe In Hindi)

Turai Moong Dal, also known as Turiya Dal is a simple and delicious vegetable dish. In this vegetable ridge gourd and lentils are cooked with everyday spices. This vegetable is also considered good for health because it contains nutrition of both lentils and ridge gourd.  Ridge gourd, yellow moong dal, turmeric powder, green chilli, sugar, red chilli powder, lemon juice, salt, green coriander, oil, mustard, cumin seeds (Jeera)   2 ridge gourd, peeled and chopped 1/2 cup yellow moong dal 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 2 green chillies, chopped 1/2 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp lemon juice Salt as per taste Coriander, a little, for garnish For tempering 1 teaspoon oil 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (Jeera)     25   30     To make ridge gourd and moong dal, first put ridge gourd, moong dal with salt, green chilli, turmeric powder, sugar and 1 cup of water in the cooker. Close the cooker and cook for 2 whistles. After 2 whistles, reduce the flame and let it cook for 3 minutes. Switch off the gas after 3 minutes. Let the pressure release on its own. Now we will make its tadka. Heat oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to it. After 15 seconds, add this tadka to the dal. Mix. Add lemon juice and green coriander in it. Mix and serve. Serve Turai Moong Dal with Spinach Raita, Phulka and Green Gram Pulao for lunch.
