Raw Banana Thoran Recipe – Raw Banana Thoran (Recipe In Hindi)

Raw banana thoran is often made with food in Kerala. Whenever vegetarian Kerala food comes to mind, thoran cannot be forgotten. In this, raw banana is cooked with coconut and then tempered with mustard seeds and curry leaves. It is very easy to make and you can even pack it in your lunch box.  Raw banana, coconut oil, mustard seeds, dried red chillies, curry leaves, small onions, garlic, turmeric powder, coconut, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt   2 raw bananas, boiled and chopped 1 teaspoon coconut oil 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 2 dried red chillies 8 curry leaves 10 small onions, chopped finely 2 cloves of garlic, chopped finely 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder to grind 1/4 Cup coconut, grated 2 green chillies 1/4 cup coriander, chopped Salt as per taste     10   15     To make raw banana thoran, first cut the raw banana in half and cook it in a pressure cooker for 3 to 4 whistles. Once cooked, peel it and chop it. Put the grinded ingredients in the mixer grinder and make a paste. Now heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds in it. After 15 seconds, add dry red chilli, curry leaves, onion and garlic. Cook until the onion becomes soft. After the onion becomes soft, add raw banana and grated coconut to it and mix. Add salt and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. After that turn off the gas and serve hot. Serve raw banana thoran with tomato onion sambar, rice and papad for lunch.
