Puli Koozh Recipe

Puli Kuzah Recipe is a traditional South Indian breakfast recipe. In this recipe, rice flour is cooked in tamarind water. Make it in your kitchen and let us know how you liked it?  इडली चावल, इमली, तिल का तेल, राइ, चना दाल, सफ़ेद उरद दाल, कढ़ी पत्ता, सुखी लाल मिर्च, हींग, हल्दी पाउडर, पानी   1 cup idli rice 1 tbsp tamarind 3 tbsp sesame oil 1 tsp mustard 2 tbsp chana dal 2 tbsp white urad dal curry leaves, chopped 3 dried red chillies 1 tbsp asafoetida 1 tbsp turmeric powder 3-1/ 2 cups water     5   20     To make Puli Kuzah recipe, first wash the rice and soak it in water for 5 to 6 hours. Drain the water and keep the rice separately. Now add some water along with rice in a mixer grinder and make a paste. Keep it aside for 3 to 4 hours. Pour water with tamarind in a bowl and extract its juice. Keep it separately. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter. After crackling, add dry red chillies and cook for 15 seconds. Now add chana dal, urad dal and cook till it turns golden. Add curry leaves and mix. After the curry leaves become crunchy, add tamarind water and water to it. Add turmeric powder, salt and mix. After the water boils, reduce the flame, add the rice paste and mix well. Keep mixing so that lumps do not form. After 8 to 10 minutes, turn off the gas and serve. Serve Puli Kuzah recipe with coconut chutney and filter coffee for breakfast.
