Potato Stuffed Dal Dhokli (Recipe In Hindi)

In Aloo Bharma Dal Dhokli, dhokli stuffed with potatoes is cooked in dal. This Dhokli is made in many ways but its taste is different from most. This is a Gujarati recipe given a slight twist. Serve this for your dinner when you feel like making something simple and delicious.  Wheat flour, salt, oil, wheat flour, potato, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander, sugar, lemon juice, toor dal, turmeric powder, peanuts, salt, tomato, green chilli, ginger, lemon juice Juice, jaggery, oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, round dry red chillies, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves, green coriander   For Dhokli: 1 cup wheat flour Salt, as per taste 1 tablespoon oil 1 tablespoon wheat flour, for rolling 3 potatoes, boil and grind them 1 tablespoon red chili powder 1/2 tablespoon garam masala powder 2 tablespoon coriander , finely chopped 1 tablespoon sugar, (optional) 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice For dal 1 cup toor dal, boil and grind 1/4 tablespoon turmeric powder 1/3 cup peanuts, boiled Salt, as per taste 1 tomato, finely chopped 1 green chilli, finely chopped 1 inch ginger, grated 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice 3 tablespoon jaggery, finely chopped 1 tablespoon oil 1/2 tablespoon mustard seeds 1/2 tablespoon Cumin 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida 10 curry leaves 2 round dried red chillies 1 inch cinnamon 2 cloves 1 bay leaf 4 tablespoon coriander, finely chopped     25   75     To make Aloo Bharma Dal Dhokli, first of all we will make Dhokli. Sieve the flour and add salt to it. After that knead the flour well with water. Push the kneaded dough and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes. After this prepare the masala to fill the dhokli. Mix salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, lemon juice and sugar in the ground potatoes. Mix everything well and make small round balls. Now divide the kneaded dough into 10 to 15 parts. Make each piece of dough 3 to 4 inches long like a roti. Place the potato masala in the middle of the roti and close it. Similarly, make all the remaining dhoklis also. Now to make the dal, pressure cook the dal with water and turmeric. Cook for 3 whistles and then turn off the cooker. Mix cooked lentils in a cup of hot water and blend it with the help of a blender. Pour this dal mixture in a pan and add turmeric powder, boiled peanuts, salt, tomato, green chilli, ginger, lemon juice and jaggery. Mix well and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Now add dhokli in it and let it cook till the dal gets boiled. This will take at least 15 minutes. Now prepare the tadka for dhokli. Heat oil in a tadka pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to it. After 10 seconds, add asafoetida, curry leaves, dry red chilli, cinnamon, bay leaf and cloves. After 30 seconds, mix it in the dal. Let it cook for 5 minutes and serve it hot. Serve Aloo Bharma Dal Dhokli with Kachumber Salad and Garlic Chutney for dinner.
