Lobia Masala Recipe – Lobia Masala (Recipe In Hindi)

Lobia Masala is also known as Chhora Nu Shaak in Gujarati and is a favorite dish. This bean is full of protein and micronutrients. This vegetable is easy to make and you can also pack it in your lunch box.  Cowpea, tomato puree, cumin, ginger, green chilli, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, sugar, lemon juice, oil, salt, coriander   1 cup cowpea 1/4 cup tomato puree 1 tsp cumin 1 inch ginger, peeled and grated 1 green chilli, finely chopped 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp Tablespoon lemon juice, or tamarind water 1 tablespoon oil Salt, as per taste Green coriander, a little (for garnish)     10   35     To make cowpea masala, first soak the cowpea in water for 2 hours. Now put them in a pressure cooker with 1 cup of water and cook until they become soft. After cooking, drain the water and keep it aside. Now heat oil in a pan. Add grated ginger to it and cook for 20 seconds. After 20 seconds, add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes become soft. After it becomes soft, add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, green chilli, salt and cowpea. Mix, reduce the flame and let it cook for 15 minutes. After that add lemon juice and garnish with green coriander. Serve Lobia Masala with Bundi Raita and Tawa Paratha for lunch.
