Moong Dal Methi Ki Sabzi (Recipe In Hindi)

Methi moong dal sabzi is a delicious sabzi in which dal is cooked with fenugreek. This is a dry vegetable so you can pack it in your lunch box also.  Green moong dal, fenugreek, tomato, onion, green chilli, cumin, ginger, cumin, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, asafoetida, oil, water   1/2 cup green moong dal, soaked for 3 hours 2 cups fenugreek, finely chopped 2 tomatoes, thinly chopped 1 onion, thinly chopped 4 green chillies, chopped 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp ginger, grated 1 tsp cumin 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 3/4 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp cumin powder Asafoetida, a pinch 2 tbsp oil 1/2 cup water     10   30     To make Moong Dal Methi Sabzi, first heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let it cook for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, add green chillies, asafoetida and let it cook for a few seconds. Now add onion and cook till onion becomes soft. After the onion becomes soft, add ginger, tomato and let it cook for 2 minutes. Now add moong dal, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cook for 1 minute. Now add 1/2 cup water, salt and mix everything. Cover the pan and let it cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Add fenugreek and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more. Serve hot. Serve Methi Moong Dal with Rajasthani Kadhi and Phulka for lunch.
