Bajra Matar Ki Khichdi Recipe (Recipe In Hindi)

Bajra Matar Khichdi is a breakfast recipe mostly made in Haryana and Rajasthan. It is more nutritious than Khichdi and you can also have it with Kadhi for your dinner. In this, millet and peas are cooked with everyday spices. Easy to make and full of nutrition, make this Khichdi at least once.  Bajra flour, yellow moong dal, oil, mustard, cumin, asafoetida, onion, tomato, potato, carrot, green peas, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander , lemon juice   1 cup millet flour 1/2 cup yellow moong dal 1 tablespoon oil 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida 1 onion, finely chopped 1 tomato, finely chopped 1 potato, chopped Take 1 carrot, chop it 1/4 cup green peas 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 1 tablespoon green coriander, finely chopped 1 tablespoon lemon juice     260   30     To make millet pea khichdi, first soak the millet for 4 hours. Soak moong dal in water for 1 hour. Now take a pressure cooker. Add millet, moong dal, green chilli and turmeric powder to it. Add 4 cups of water in it and cook till 4 whistles. Let the pressure release on its own and keep aside. Now heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida and let it cook for 15 seconds. Let the cumin cook until it turns light brown. Add onion to it and cook until onion becomes soft. After the onion becomes soft, add tomatoes to it and cook until the tomatoes become soft. After the tomatoes become soft, add all the vegetables to it and mix. Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt and cook till the vegetables become soft. Now add cooked millet to it and let it cook for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, turn off the gas and garnish with green coriander. Add lemon juice and mix millet and serve pea khichdi with Rajasthani khichdi and masala khichdi for dinner.
