Kala Desi Chana Recipe – Kala Desi Chana (Recipe In Hindi)

Kala Desi Chana is a delicious, spicy and fruit rich recipe in which onion and garlic are not used. It is very easy to make and you can also make it for guests at your home.  Black Gram, Cumin, Ginger, Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Garam Masala Powder, Coriander Powder, Oil, Salt, Coriander, Coriander (Dhania) Leaves   1 cup black gram 1 teaspoon cumin 1 inch ginger, peeled and grated 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chili powder 1 teaspoon garam masala powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder 2 tablespoons oil Salt as per taste 4 sprigs of green coriander, Chopped (for garnish) 4 sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves, roughly chopped for garnish     10   35     To make black desi gram, first soak the gram in 2 cups of water for 6 hours. After that take out the water. Now put them in a pressure cooker with 2-1/2 cups of water. Cook for 4 whistles, turn off the gas and let the pressure release on its own. Keep it separately. Now heat oil in a saucepan. Add cumin seeds in it and let it cook for 15 seconds. Now add ginger to it and let it cook for 10 seconds. After that add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, salt and gram. Mix it. Mix and let it cook. After boiling, reduce the flame and let it cook for 20 to 30 minutes. Once cooked, garnish with green coriander and serve. Serve Kala Desi Chana with Puri and Boondi Raita for lunch.
