Dhingri Matar Recipe – Dhingri Matar (Recipe In Hindi)

In Dhingri Matar Sabzi, mushrooms and green peas are cooked in khus khus gravy. Cashew paste is used in it which further enhances its taste. You can also lightly roast cashews and use them for garnish in vegetables.  Button mushroom, green peas, soya chunks, tomato puree, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, garlic, ginger, poppy seeds, cashew nuts, oil, salt, coriander   400 grams button mushrooms 1/4 cup green peas, steamed 1 cup soya chunks 2 cups tomato puree 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder 4 cloves garlic 1 inch ginger 1 large Tablespoon poppy seeds 5 cashew nuts oil, salt as per taste, 4 sprigs of green coriander, finely chopped     20   30     To make Dhingri Matar, first make ginger garlic paste and keep it aside. Now add poppy seeds, cashew nuts and some water in a mixer. Make a paste and keep it separately. Now soak the soya chunks in hot water for 15 minutes and keep aside. Now heat oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste to it and cook for 1 minute. Now add tomato puree, turmeric powder and let it cook for 2 minutes. Now add peas, soya chunks, mushrooms and let it cook till the mushrooms become soft. After the mushroom becomes soft, add garam masala, cashew nut paste, salt, red chilli powder and mix. Let it cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Turn off the gas and garnish with green coriander. Serve Dhingri Matar with Spinach Raita and Pudina Tawa Paratha for lunch.
