Sichuan Style Mapo Doufu ( Tofu In Spicy And Bean Sauce) is a spicy bean-based sauce which is a very popular Chinese dish made in the Sichuan province. Typically the tofu is immersed in a thin, oily and spicy based Sichuan sauce. It is then flavored with black bean paste. Traditionally the dish is made with minced meat like pork or beef.  Button mushrooms, Tofu, Bean Paste, Garlic, Ginger, Spring Onion (Bulb & Greens), Soy sauce, Vinegar, Sesame (Gingelly) Oil, Red Chilli sauce, Sichuan peppercorns, Corn flour, Salt, Black pepper powder   100 grams Button mushrooms , chopped finely 200 grams Tofu 2 tablespoons Bean Paste 4 cloves Garlic , finely chopped 2 inch Ginger , finely chopped 1/2 cup Spring Onion (Bulb & Greens) , finely chopped For the sauce 2 teaspoons Soy sauce 2 teaspoon Vinegar 1 teaspoon Sesame (Gingelly) Oil 1 teaspoon Red Chilli sauce 1 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns , finely ground 1 tablespoon Corn flour Salt , to taste Black pepper powder , for seasoning     10   30     We begin making the Sichuan Style Mapo Doufu ( Tofu In Spicy And Bean Sauce) by prepping all the ingredients needed for the recipes.In a mixing bowl, add ingredients for the sauce and mix it with 1/2 cup water and keep it aside.Heat a heavy bottomed pan with oil, add ginger, garlic spring onions,mushroom, saute till all the water evaporates and becomes dry.Once done add the bean paste and the tofu and saute for few minutes.Then add the sauce mixture slowly into the pan and keep mixing it and bring it to a boil. Check for seasonings.
