Makka Cholam Sundal Recipe (Spicy Sweet Corn Recipe)

Makka Cholam Sundal Recipe (Spicy Sweet Corn Recipe) is a healthy snack made by tossing the sweet corn with fresh grated coconut and is tempered. Sundal is usually served as a Prasadam in many south Indian temples or it is made during the festival of Gollu (Navratri).  Sweet corn, Fresh coconut, Cumin powder (Jeera), Mustard seeds (Rai/ Kadugu), White Urad Dal (Split), Asafoetida (hing), Green Chillies, Dry Red Chilli, Curry leaves, Salt, Oil   1 cup Sweet corn 1/2 cup Fresh coconut , grated 1 tablespoon Cumin powder (Jeera) For Tempering 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds (Rai/ Kadugu) 3/4 teaspoon White Urad Dal (Split) 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing) 2 Green Chillies , finely chopped 2 Dry Red Chilli 4 or 5 Curry leaves , roughly torn Salt , for taste Oil     15   15     We begin making Makka Cholam Sundal Recipe (Spicy Sweet Corn Recipe) by heating the Kadai with oil and temper the mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, dry red chilli, asafoetida.Then add the cooked beans with a little bit of turmeric powder and coat it.Finally, add the grated coconut and cumin powder, salt for taste.Serve the Makka Cholam Sundal  (Spicy Sweet Corn ) hot as a healthy tea time snack for the family or make it for special festivals like Gollu (Navratri).
