Karnataka Style Sorakaya Palya Recipe – Karnataka Style Bottle Gourd Sabzi

Sorakaya Palya is a classic karnataka dish made from bottle gourd which is packed with simple from the very versatile sambar powder. In addition, it contains all the essential nutrients like Vitamin C, Vitamin B, Vitamin K, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Iron, Folate, Magnesium, and Potassium which are required for healthy growth and functioning of our body.  Bottle gourd (lauki), Tomatoes, Cumin seeds (Jeera), Sambar Powder, Curry leaves, Salt, Gingelly oil, Coriander (Dhania) Leaves, Oil   1 Bottle gourd (lauki) , peeled and chopped 2 Tomatoes , finely chopped  1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera) 2 tablespoons Sambar Powder 1 sprig Curry leaves Salt , to taste 1 teaspoon Gingelly oil , for cooking  6 sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves , finely chopped Oil     10   15     We begin making the Karnataka Style Sorakaya Palya Recipe , prepare all the ingredients and keep ready.Heat oil in the pressure cooker over medium heat; add the cumin seeds and allow it to crackle.Stir in the curry leaves, chopped tomatoes and sambar powder. Saute the tomatoes until they become soft and mushyOnce mushy, add the diced bottle gourd, salt to taste and 2 tablespoons of water. Cover the pressure cooker and cook for 2 to 3 whistles and turn off the heat.Allow the pressure to release naturally.
