Gujarati Palak Dhokla Recipe

Dhokla is a very famous recipe which is made in every household of Gujarat. It is either served as a side dish with meals or served for breakfast. You will definitely find Dhokla at every Farsan shop in Gujarat. Here we will prepare Gujarati Palak Dhokla recipe which is made with gram flour and spinach puree is also added to it, which increases the taste and nutrition of the dhokla.  बेसन, पालक, हंग दही, अदरक, हरी मिर्च, तेल, निम्बू का रस, शक्कर, नमक, इनो फ्रूट साल्ट, तेल, राइ, तिल (सफ़ेद), कढ़ी पत्ता, हींग, पानी   1 cup gram flour 300 grams spinach 1/4 cup hung curd, beaten 1 inch ginger 3 green chillies 2 tbsp oil 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp sugar, optional Salt as per taste 1 tsp eno fruit salt for tempering 2 tsp oil 1 tsp mustard 2 tsp sesame (white) 5 curry leaves 1/4 tsp asafoetida 3 tbsp water     20   30     To make Gujarati Palak Dhokla recipe, first boil water in a saucepan. After it starts boiling, turn off the gas and add spinach to it and let it rest for 4 to 5 minutes. Take out and let it cool. After it cools down, put it in a mixer grinder and make puree. Keep it separately. Now add gram flour, spinach puree, curd, oil, some water in a bowl and make a batter. Be careful not to make it too thin. Now add salt, sugar, lemon juice and mix well. Take care that there are no lumps in this mixture. Keep aside for 5 to 10 minutes. Now take a steamer and grease its plate with ghee or oil. Pour water in the steamer and keep it aside. After 10 minutes, add eno fruit salt to the dhokla mixture and mix. Put this mixture in a steamer plate and steam it for 15 to 20 minutes. After it gets steamed well, keep it aside to cool for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, heat oil in a tadka pan. Add asafoetida, mustard seeds, sesame seeds, curry leaves and cook till the mustard seeds crackle. Turn off the gas and add 3 tablespoons of water to the tadka. Pour this tadka mixture on dhokla and serve. Serve Gujarati Palak Dhokla Recipe with Coriander Mint Chutney and Masala Chai for breakfast.
