Bhatt Ki Dal Recipe

Bhatt’s Dal Recipe is a Pahari recipe which is made in every house of Uttarakhand. This is a simple dal which you can prepare for your daily meal. Black beans are used in this dal and it takes only 20 minutes to make.  काले बीन्स, प्याज, लहसुन, जीरा, हल्दी पाउडर, लाल मिर्च पाउडर, धनिया पाउडर, गरम मसाला पाउडर, नमक, तेल, घी   1 cup black beans, soaked overnight 1 onion, finely chopped 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp red chilli powder 2 tsp coriander powder 2 tsp garam masala powder Salt, Oil as per taste 1 tbsp Ghee     10   25     To make Bhatt ki Dal recipe, first soak black beans in water overnight. Heat ghee as per requirement in a pan. Add wheat flour to it and roast it until it turns light brown. After it is done, turn off the gas and keep it aside. Now heat the taal in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and let it splutter. Now add onion and garlic to it and cook until onion becomes soft. Now add black beans, water as per requirement, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well. Close the cooker and cook for 5 to 8 whistles or for 30 minutes. Once done, turn off the gas and let the pressure release on its own. After the pressure is released, open the cooker and add sifted flour into it. Add some water, turn on the gas again and mix. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes and turn off the gas. Take out in a bowl and serve. Serve Bhatt’s Dal recipe with Mughlai Bhindi and Phulka for lunch.
